Double flowered, honey scented snowdrops brave the cold winter weather for a wonderful display! These understated beauties love to nestle in dappled shade at the base of trees, or for a particularly bold impact, try naturalising them in large informal areas of grass. These longlasting and top quality ‘in-the-green’ bulbs are delivered in spring when the plants are growing, either in flower or after flowering, they can be planted straight into position – the benefit being you won’t forget where you planted them, as you would with dry bulbs! A great way to achieve years and years of cheery spring colour in your garden. All of our bulbs are grown from cultivated stock. Height: 10cm (4″).

Caution: irritant to skin and eyes, harmful if eaten. Snowdrops should be planted from September to November. Choose a position in dappled shade in reliably moist, well drained soil. Snowdrops prefer a soil rich in organic matter so add some well rotted manure or compost to the soil. Space bulbs randomly throughout the planting area at a distance of 10cm apart and plant them at a depth of 5cm (2″), with the pointed end facing upwards. For natural looking drifts, gently cast them across the planting area and plant them where they land!
Snowdrops particularly dislike dry soil in summer so water regularly during the growing season until bulbs are fully established. When growing snowdrops, it is essential to allow their foliage to die back naturally. Avoid mowing areas of grass where bulbs are naturalised until their foliage has completely died back.
